Hidden amongst the olive groves, just South of Lake Iznajar, lies the treasure that is Cortijo La Haza. A haven of peace and tranquillity, La Haza is a 250-year old traditional Cortijo, beautifully restored into a 6-bedroom B&B.
The setting couldn’t be more spectacular, amongst the olive groves and rolling hills of Southern Andalucia with unforgettable views even as far as the snowy peaks of the Sierra Nevada!
After Bernadette’s warm and inviting welcome, you will be shown round the patio, Plaza La Haza, stunning with its many varieties of exotic flowers and plants, the garden, the terraces and swimming pool, and, of course, inside the house with its cosy dining room, bar and quiet reading room.
All guest rooms have been furnished simply but comfortably with traditional Andalucian furniture and all have en-suite facilities and air conditioning. They are dotted around the patio, some with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside.
Time for a dip in the pool, or just to settle down with a drink and a home-made tapa, just giving you a taste of what further gastronomic delights await at dinner time!

It is with considerable pride, and through sheer hard work that La Haza can claim to be the only establishment in the area featured in such renowned guides as Alastair Sawday’s Special Places to Stay in Spain, Lonely Planet Guide, Rough Guide, Michelin Guide (since 2009) and a host of other guides and websites. This is not surprising when we are the only ones to offer 6-star service (not our words), a comprehensive package with dining, coupled with superb knowledge of the area.
La Haza is easily the most centrally located B&B, near the motorway that links Granada (1h), Malaga (1h) and Sevilla (2h), and only 1h15 from Cordoba. It is also within easy reach of the coastal resorts, and a variety of treasures hidden in the area.
So it is the perfect venue for guests wishing to escape to the real Spain for total relaxation, but just as good as a comfortable base from which to explore the area.
